A machine is technology that gets a #task done without help of a human (an #operator). This task is ideally a part of the job to be done of a #service.

A machine needs specific input, and produces output in a specific form.

Example: A machine that sends out anamnesis surveys, receives them, and stores anamnesis data in a structured way. The input is patient data + intent, the output is structured anamnesis.

A machine is not the same as an #ittool, since the IT tool cannot get a task done without an #operator.
